This listing is for a $1 note of a "non-genuine" variety, of which I believe only a $10 denomination is listed in the Kelly / Shank / Gordon (KSG) reference ("Money and Banking in Maryland...") under the bank name The Commercial & Farmers Bank of Baltimore, Maryland / MD. However, look carefully at the bank name on the note, where the spelling of what was maybe meant to pass as Farmers looks like it was intentionally spelled Sarmers. UNLISTED, and therefore also likely R-7 rarity, though it could well be unique--Ive personally never seen another of this variety turn up. Dated Aug 9 1842. See the 5.39.22 S entry in KSG for the $10 denom listed as SENC and "probably spurious". The "N" in the corresponding Haxby number for that $10 means "non-genuine". Imprint on the $1 note: Murray Draper Fairman & Co.

For the two photos, from scans, I did not adjust any color, saturation, contrast, lightness/darkness, etc. levels/settings before or after the scans and photos were taken. The photos you see are of the note as my scanner scanned it. Condition of the note is as seen in the photos provided in this listing. Theres heavy wear/toning/splits/some paper loss/full and/or partial tears/creasing/earlier repair attempts, etc. to my eyes, otherwise youll have to judge condition for yourself. That might even be a vertical gutter error at left-center area.

11. Shipment will be made only to the verified shipping address from the buyer's PayPal account. With regard to order changes and address changes: If you request a change of shipping address after your payment is received or if you request a change to your order after payment is completed, you will have to resubmit payment with your corrected information and I, the seller, will then refund your first payment. The reason for this is that PayPal does not seem to offer seller protection if I ship to an address other than the address as noted with your PayPal payment. If the order has been shipped and you want a change of address, thats too late. As such, I, the seller, will not accept any address changes or other changes to the order if the package has already been shipped. Check your shipping address BEFORE submitting payment, not after!

12. Shipment will be made with USPS mail and with packing materials to the extent that I, the seller, believe should and would be more than reasonable enough to ensure safe delivery of these items. Should the package become lost or damaged while in the hands of the carrier and anytime thereafter while in the buyer's possession, you, the buyer, assume full responsibility for that. I, the seller, will not be held responsible for damage to the package/packaging/item(s) within that may be incurred after I hand it/them over to USPS for shipment.

13. Shipping for these item(s) will include delivery confirmation/tracking details from USPS.
